ENTRY HILL COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION

Actions & Decisions

Inaugural Meeting 4th February 2020

1.           INTRODUCTION

1.1.       Katina Beckett [KB] welcomed everyone and introduced herself.

1.2.      KB spoke about her traffic concerns on both ends of the hill.

2.           ADDRESS BY COUNCILLOR WINSTON DUGUID

2.1.       Councillor Winston Duguid [Cllr.WD] spoke. He briefly explained Low Traffic Neighbourhoods [LTN] and the urgency of forming the association. He also explained how important Community Associations [CAs] and Residents Associations [RAs] are within the community as the Council are required to engage with them.

2.2.       Cllr. WD explained the 20/21 budget has £200K to implement LTNs and associated schemes across Bath but that this was not a lot of money for all B&NES. He emphasised that other Cas & RAs are already pushing to become LTNs so if Entry Hill residents want to have a more powerful voice to influence decisions, forming a CA would be a very positive action.

2.3.       Residents Parking Zones [RPZ] are included in the above budget and Cllr.WD explained the benefit of such schemes. (Post meeting note, at the LTN meeting at St.Lukes on Saturday 8th February Cllr.WD indicated there may be other budgets available including £50K for RPZs).

2.4.       Entry Hill Golf Course. Winston spoke about the budgets of maintaining the golf course. Winston thought the loss of profit was slightly inflated.
